The College of Liberal Arts

Liberal Arts serves students across the physical and virtual campus by providing instruction in a wide range of classes that satisfy General Education Requirements (GER’s) and upper-level courses in traditional fields in the humanities.

Professional Aviation

Over a more than forty year history, Louisiana Tech University's Department of Professional Aviation has established itself as a high-quality degree program with a national reputation for outstanding graduates. The department is a member of the University Aviation Association and is accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International.

School of Communication

The School of Communication offers undergraduate degrees in Communication Studies and Pre-Professional Speech-Language Pathology, an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology and the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.).

School of Design

The School of Design at Louisiana Tech University administers three undergraduate degree programs, the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, the Bachelor of Interior Design, the Bachelor of Fine Arts and two graduate degree programs, the Master of Architecture. and the Master of Fine Arts These degree programs currently are accredited for the maximum terms by their respective accreditation agencies: NAAB, CIDA & NASAD.

General Studies

General Studies is a degree program for undergraduate students interested in a broad-based Liberal Arts education. The degree is available through Barksdale AFB, Bossier City, LA and is a two-year Associate program.

School of History and Social Sciences

History provides students with personal cultural enrichment, while preparing them for employment.  Social Sciences provides study in a wide range of individual, institutional, and social behavior, and provide a means of gaining intellectual approaches that will be rewarding for a lifetime as well as a degree that will lead to many exciting career options.

Interdisciplinary Studies

The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree provides students with a flexible and individualized degree program through the unique combination of different disciplines to satisfy academic interests. The BIS is available on campus and through the TECH - BAFB instructional site.

School of Literature and Language

Liberal Arts serves students across the physical and virtual campus by providing instruction in a wide range of classes that satisfy General Education Requirements (GER’s) and upper-level courses in traditional fields in the humanities.

School of the Performing Arts

The School of the Performing Arts offers programs of study in Music and Theatre.  It is dedicated to the creative growth and development of the artist through education, training, and performance.
