Louisiana Tech senior photography major Mandi Zimmer had three images from her “Men of Honor” series featured in F-Stop Magazine, a publication dedicated to photography. The images were chosen during a competition addressing “community.” Zimmer said she entered eight images total. “I have been working on my exhibition, shooting environmental images of war vets and servicemen,” Zimmer, of Baton Rouge, said. “My inspiration comes from fashion magazines, music and some of my favorite photographers.  This past year I’ve been privileged to work with and meet some of the best and well-known photographers. They have truly inspired me with my composition and my use of lighting.” After graduation, Zimmer said she hopes to find work with a magazine or in the fashion industry. “I love having people in my images, and I love to play with light,” she said. “I also like shooting on location more than in studio.” “Men of Honor” is a body of work Zimmer is creating for her BFA senior exhibition this spring.
