Tech choral activities director seeks rebirth of singing group
Sean Teets, Louisiana Tech’s choral activities director and an assistant professor of music, seeks to restart the North Central Louisiana Masterworks Chorus, a community singing group. Teets said he hopes to reinstate this organization but needs members to get the idea off the ground. The first rehearsal will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12. “I wanted to combine the choirs at Tech and members of the community for a major choral work,” he said, adding that he plans for the chorus to perform Handel’s “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 in Howard Auditorium. Any Tech student, faculty member, staff or area resident who is interested in participating in the chorus should contact Teets at 318-257-5272 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
