Annual Octubafest to feature Renaissance, Baroque, other eras

Louisiana Tech’s department of music will present its eighth annual Octubafest at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 in the Recital Hall in Howard Auditorium. The group features performers from Tech, Bossier Parish Community College and members from the community and will be hosted by Dr. Joe L. Alexander, associate professor of music and head of the music theory/composition and low brass. The concert will focus on Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and 20th and 21st century eras filled with trombones, euphoniums and tubas. Admission is free and open to the community.
