School of Performing Arts hosts concert

Louisiana Tech’s department of music in the School of Performing Arts will present a Mid-South chapter of the National Association of Composers, USA, concert. The event will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13 in the Recital Hall, located in Howard Auditorium. The concert will feature music by composers from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. Music by senior music major Joshua Mattison, of Benton, and Tech faculty member Dr. Joe L. Alexander will also be included. Alexander, professor of music, will also serve as host of the event. He is the head of the music theory/composition area, as well as the low brass instructor. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information on the concert, call 318-257-2060.
