The School of Design
The Louisiana Tech University School of Design (SOD) is a place for individuals who embrace the challenge of creative problem solving and of making things well. As a community to support the development of future artists, designers and architects, the SOD creates opportunities to learn the art, the craft and the ethical practice of being a professional artist, designer and citizen of the contemporary world. Mentored by a diverse faculty who are active as professional artists, designers, architects and scholars, the SOD seeks to prepare students to pursue their work with focus, creativity and purpose.
The SOD is composed of four programs:
- Architecture
- Graphic Design
- Interior Design
- Studio Art (Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Printmaking, Sculpture, Photography)
The SOD offers undergraduate degrees in Architectural Studies (BSAS), Interior Design (BID), Studio Art (BFA) and Graphic Design (BFA). Additionally, the School offers graduate degrees in Studio Art (MFA), Photography (MFA), Graphic Design (MFA) and Architecture (MARC). Each degree program is accredited by its national accreditation body for its fullest term.
