COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS
School of Literature & Language
The School of Literature and Language prepares students for careers or graduate study. Spoken or written language impacts everything, so this particular program is designed to help students master both written and spoken communication, as well as open the door to new ideas, places, solutions, and views. In the end, graduates excel at leading in a global society. Our award-winning faculty is dedicated to teaching, while also advancing the field of literary and language studies through their original research and publications.
We award Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and in Modern Languages, a Master of Arts in English, and a Graduate Certificate in Technical Communication. Undergraduate English majors choose from three concentrations: literature, creative writing, and technical writing. Modern Language majors concentrate in Spanish or French. In addition to majors, we also have minors in English, Spanish, and French.
