Right after the release of their new album, “Globalized Percussion Music,” the world percussion duo to hit will be in town to perform at Louisiana Tech this Friday. Mid-Michigan residents Tim Mocny and Mike List, the duo who make up to hit, combine marimba, electronics and percussion to create their sound and have perfected their art for more than a decade. To hit will perform at Tech twice on Friday, Jan. 13. At 3:30 p.m., the duo will be available to work one-on-one with guests or discuss aspects of their work. At 7:30 p.m., to hit will perform a concert. Both events will take place in Howard Auditorium Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted. The event is sponsored by Tech’s Percussion Studio and Phi Buda Ruda, a student group that supports the Percussion Studio.
