Dr. Donald P. Kaczvinsky, Dean, College of Liberal ArtsWelcome to the website for the College of Liberal Arts! With 5 distinct schools (Communication, Design, History and Social Sciences, Literature and Language, and Performing Arts) and the Department of Professional Aviation, the College of Liberal Arts is the most diverse college in the university. Liberal Arts serves students across the physical and virtual campus by providing instruction in a wide range of classes that satisfy General Education Requirements (GER’s) and upper-level courses in traditional fields in the humanities, like English, History, Modern Languages, Music, and Political Science, as well as a course of study in pre-professional Speech-Language Pathology that lead to the Bachelor of Arts (BA).  The College also offers a Bachelor of General Studies (BGS); a Bachelor of Science (BS) with majors in Professional Aviation, Aviation Management, and Geographic Information Systems; a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art or Graphic Design; a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and a Bachelor of Interior Design (BID). As part of its mission within the greater university, the College is also committed to the advancement of new knowledge through research with an award-winning faculty and a rich learning environment, offering advanced degrees at the Master’s or Doctoral level.

Liberal Arts sponsors the majority of Study Abroad programs in the university, usually with classes taught by Tech faculty. These programs have included travel to London, Madrid, Florence, Berlin, and Costa Rica. The college also supports numerous events and activities that benefit not only the students but the community at large, enhancing the quality of life for all who live in North Louisiana. The links on this site will help familiarize you with our programs, keep you updated on events and activities, and show the unique opportunities and educational benefits for those who seek a deeper understanding of the liberal arts.

We hope you find the website enjoyable and the information useful!

Sincerely,

Dr. Donald P. Kaczvinsky
